Were you one of those who lined up for several hours outside an Apple store to get your hands on the first iPhone delivery? If so, are you satisfied with it?
If I was located anywhere near an Apple store selling the newest tech trend, the inner geek in me would have probably demanded for me to line up. The nearest Apple store is only a few meters away from my flat. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depends on how I look at it), I live in Germany. And I would have to wait until late 2007 to get my hands on one.
I do have a trip to New Jersey coming up (August 21 to be exact) but unless there already is a reliable way to unlock it (from the arms of At&T) then I would have to pass.
I heard that T-Mobile and Vodafone are vying for the iPhone exclusivity in Deutschland. I am praying for Vodaphone. Otherwise, I may have to switch mobile phone service providers.
Do you think it will be worth it? What is your experience with the iPhone? Are you satisfied?

I'm not easily impressed, but I really like my iPhone. Other than a few minor issues with porting my number to AT&T, it's worked flawlessly. My biggest complaint: there aren't enough apps for it. I'd love to see a Gmail widget, so I wouldn't have to use the clunky Web interface. I can't deal with the POP interface for Gmail. Also, a version of Firefox would be nice. I know, dream on. I probably should be blogging about this, too. Thanks for the reminder.
