Northworst Northwest has been cancelling many of its flights for the past days. According to JoeSentMe, "On Friday, it cancelled 100 flights, or 7 percent of its schedule. On Saturday, it dumped 159 flights, or 12 percent of its schedule. The pattern is continuing today, with 59 cancellations already as of 9:15am EDT."
Apparently, the airline is facing a crew shortage and we should actually expect more cancellations throught the entire week. You can probably expect the same from code-share flights operated by Continental and Delta.
If you have yet to book your flight, you may want to consider booking another airline.
If you have your Northwest ticket, get a new one OR make sure you reconfirm before you head for the airport.
