The 11th Barclay Card Business Travel Survey was based on a poll of 4K UK business travelers. And the results...
A few more business travelers are turning to using the internet for booking business travel. The use of travel agents is down to 28% from 31%.
76% of bookings are made using a company credit or charge card.
41% work for companies that did not have travel policies and 7% actually do not know whether their companies had one or not.
Looks a lot like lots (55%) of business travlers are booking their own travel. 29% ask someone in the administration department to do it for them and only 9% use external companies. Methinks business travel companies need to think of something more convincing to attract more business travelers to start using their services.
I wonder how the US business travel trend is.
