British Airways flight BA 142 from New Delhi to London was delayed for 13 hours. Apparently, the pilot refused to fly because he was too sleepy. The flight crew had a sleepless night because their New Delhi hotel was too noisy.
The crew were allowed to catch up with their sleep and the passengers were sent to city hotels (some sharing rooms due to the lack of rooms) to wait it out.
Had I been one of the passengers on that flight, I would not get angry at all. Yes, even if I had an important meeting to go to. I'd rather be delayed than put my life in the hands of a pilot who has not slept a wink.
What about you? Would you have been as incensed as the other passengers?

Certainly seems better to be delayed than crashing. Of course, one would wonder why the crew stayed the entire night in a noisy hotel, rather than moving to another quieter hotel, sleeping in a few hours and only delaying the flight two or three hours rather than 13?
