The differences between men and women have been discussed oh so many times. And we're about to learn even more, particularly the differences between the sexes when it comes to traveling.
A new consumer travel survey from travel provider Amadeus and research firm Leflein Associates has revealed the following:
It seems a lot like women worry a lot more.
- Women (58%) gripe more about flight delays than men (52%).
- Women (42%) get agitated over lost luggage more than men (32%).
- Women (63%) worry more about catching flight connections than men (47%).
However, when it comes to voicing out their frustrations (to that person at the gate) and making mistakes (going to the wrong airport or gate), both men and women are equal.
More men fly than women. Below result is not really a big surprise. Despite the rise of women business travelers, more men travel for work, apart from the fact that those who do, travel more often compared to their female counterparts.
- Men flew more than women (41% vs. 22%)
- Men are more most likely to be members of more loyalty programs
- More men have elite status on these programs
