CLEAR is supposed to be a traveler's faster way through airport security, for a price.
TSA has recently decided, though, to ask CLEAR members to show a government-issued Photo ID (like driver's license) with their CLEAR cards to screeners.
I guess TSA decided that iris images and fingerprints aren't enough to verify identity. This new illogical requirement clearly shows that they (TSA) are a law unto themselves. Or, maybe they just badly need a lesson on how biometrics work.
I wonder what rule TSA will think of next to make travel even more inconvenient. It seems that they have been pretty prolific with increasing the contents of their rule book.
Anyway... at present, CLEAR lanes are open at Orlando, Indianapolis, NY JFK (Terminal 7 only), Mineta San Jose and Cincinnati/Nothern Kentucky Airports. Very soon, NY JFK Terminal 1 will also have CLEAR lanes.
