I was browsing the net and I found quite a few interesting things...
Kevin says that you can tell a lot about a city by its airport.
"...in Kansas City which is small, well maintained, utilitarian and fairly unremarkable... Denver's is pristine, airy, open and environmentally savy... Reno was fucking disgusting, tacky, backwards and casino-like... And then I got off the plane in San Francisco to encounter not a mechanized hub of leisure and business travel but...a modern art exhibit and a museum display dedicated to media technoledgy!"
Rod shares with us the Bulgarian Business Culture. An interesting tidbit for those whose travels take them to Bulgaria.
"It is customary to shake hands on meeting, but also for business contacts to kiss each other on both cheeks."
Rather than wait for June to get an iPhone, Andrew got a Nokia E62 instead.
"I did consider just waiting until June. Unfortunately I’ve been bitten by brand spanking new technology before, so even if Apple make the June deadline it probably won’t be until the second or third version of the phone that I’d be truly happy."
Here's a very honest and surprisingly entertaining account by the Crabby Traveler (the newest in my favorites list) of how unglamorous business travel could really be.
"Did I see NY? Yes, from behind windows. Sure, I did a few short walks near the hotel. And I sipped a calvodos from the hotel's top floor lounge, with a super night-time view. But that view was from behind windows, as were the taxi rides to and from the office. It's weird to see the world that way. From behind glass."
DARN, IT'S MONDAY TOMORROW!!!
