Continental Airlines announced that the Business and First Class cabins of its entire fleet of 41 Boeing 757 aircraft are now installed with Audio/Video on Demand (AVOD). Economy class passengers would have to wait for theirs in the beginning of summer 2007.
I am not that impressed with Continental's news.
Maybe because when I went on vacation to Asia and flew with KLM for a 14-hour flight, they already have AVOD. And guess what? They had AVOD on ALL seats, including economy!!!
As for AVOD... I loved it! You can pause the movie you are watching when the food comes and you do not need to watch a movie without seeing the beginning just because you woke up too late!
Hope other airlines follow suit.
