Turkish Airlines will become Star Alliance's 21st member carrier.
What does this mean for us, business travelers?
- Improved network coverage as more destinations which were previously not served by other airlines will now be covered. FYI: Turkish Airlines fly to 927 cities in 162 countries.
- For those whose business takes them to Turkey, expanded frequent flyer benefits.
Having said that, I still maintain that, with airline alliances, there are disadvatages for travelers. And sometimes, these disadvantages outweighs the advantages.
