Hotel Rates Soar

According to the latest survey by HRG, business hotel rates are soaring. And the higher the star rating a hotel has, the higher is the rate growth.

Moscow leads the pack as having the most expensive average corporate hotel rates worldwide.  From an average room rate of £169.67 in 2005, it rose to £219.19 this year.

Mumbai, surprisingly, has the higest increase (with 46%) in average rates. Average rate for 2006 is £109.55.

Region-wide, the Asia Pacific region has the most significant increase.

Germany's corporate rates significantly increase because of the recent World Cup event.
