For the über-Road Warriors - those who spend their lives on the road

Note that from 13 February 2007 onwards, a new baggage policy on all British Airways (LON:BAY) flights will be implemented. 

New allowances are, as follows:

FREE CHECKED BAGGAGE

Long Haul

First and Club World - 3 bags, 23kg each
World Traveller Plus - 2 bags, 23kg each
World Traveller - 1 bag, 23kg

However, World Travellers travelling or connecting to/from US, Canada, the Caribbean, Nigeria, Brazil and Mexico will still be allowed 2 bags. 

Short Haul

Club Europe - 2 bags, 23kg each
Euro Traveller and Domestic - 1 bag, 23kg

In addition, one sport equipment per passenger will be allowed for free.  List of allowed equipment can be viewed here. 

MAXIMUM SIZE AND WEIGHT  will be strictly implemented.  No more than 23kg (50lbs) or oversized items exceeding 2.5m x 1.00m x 0.80m (98in x 39in x 31in) will be allowed.  If the size and weight of your luggage cannot be in any way reduced, notify BA at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure.

EXCESS BAGGAGE will be standardised. A fixed fee per bag, which depends on the length of journey, will be charged for excess baggage. 

For LongHaul, £120 per bag or £96 per bag if paid online.
For ShortHaul, £60 per bag or £48 per bag  if paid online.
For Domestic, £30 per bag or £24 per bag  if paid online.
