Some are lucky to work for companies who uses a travel professional for all their business travel needs. Most, however, need to look for the best rates and make the booking themselves.
Thank God for the world wide web, searching, comparing and booking is easier than ever.
Thing is, searching online may be easy but filtering the results could take some time. I find it always best to bookmark sites which I find useful and which I would want to use again as reference for future travel searches. It's easier that way, rather than find myself deep into the nth number of results given by google.
50 Travel Sites You've Probably Never Heard Of is one of those sites which deserves to be bookmarked. It has an interesting hodge-podge of travel sites compiled by Brooke Dowd.
Sites are categorized as such: Social Travel Networks, Travel Booking, Flying & Airlines, Travel Videos & Images, Specialty Travel - Interest - Lifestyle, Budget Travel, Luxury Travel, Miscellaneous Travel Advice and Travel Blogs.
I have found sites on their list which I would definitely use the next time I am asked to go pack my bags and travel. Really great finds.
50 Travel Sites You've Probably Never Heard Of should take a few sites off their list, though. Trip Advisor, Unusual Hotels of the World, Farecast, Budget Travel Online and Wiki Travel definitely do not belong there.
