On October 12, I crossed several time zones onboard KL803 from Amsterdam to Manila. I was the lone adult companion of a 3 year old child and a 2-month old infant. The flight was uneventful and I only have praises for the KLM ground and onboard staff.
The problem occured before the flight, though. With the relatively new restrictions being implemented throughout the European Union, I somehow, expected this to happen.
I just cannot understand why the security staff over at Terminal 2 of Frankfurt Airport (I had to take another flight to get to Amsterdam) were sensitive enough to give me priority to bypass the long lines but, on the other hand, were too imperceptive to offer help which I needed so bad. They wanted me to do several things all at once (while holding a baby) which only 4 hands could accomplish.
I also cannot understand why Frankfurt security was so strict and Amsterdam security was sooo lax.
During moments like the above, I really do appreciate the pros of traveling alone for business.
