When needed, I spend my time working on my laptop. And then, there are times when I just read a newspaper at the lounge. But, like the stereotypical woman, I often find myself scouring the airport shops for things to buy.
But, is it really?
For some, yes. However, travelers should keep in mind that NOT ALL items are cheaper at duty free shops. As proven by TimesOnline, it may not be worth splashing out in duty free shops.
So (note to self, as well), the next time you have time to kill at the airport and you find something that is relatively pricey, you may want to find out the street price first. Call a friend/relative to check or use that airport WiFi and search for the price. You wouldn't want to buy something, only to find out later that it is much much cheaper at the mall near your house, would you?
