Luggage from Samsonite Corporation or Tumi, Inc.
I have been using soft-sided trolleys ever since I started traveling.  I did, at one time, lust over the aluminum hard-sided kind but I never did purchase one as I found it too heavy for me to carry (think luggage carousel), should I need to.

Trolleys, imo, are easier to handle.  Plus, I always find it useful that I can attach or hang another bag on it while I pull it behind me.

samsonite.jpgAs for brands, I've always been partial to bags and luggages from Samsonite Corporation (Public, OTC:SAMC). Recently, I have been gifted a Tumi FXT . Others have gushed about the quality of Tumi. I can certainly recommend it but, as per my personal experience, there are cheaper options with just about the same quality as the very pricey Tumi.  Honestly, if I had not received one as a gift, I would not have doled out that much cash for a luggage. But, then again, that is just me.

What about YOU? What kind of luggage do you use?

Should you be up for a new one, do check out Luggage Point. It's a great place to search for luggages, handbags, backpacks, business cases, laptop cases, accessories for digital mobile devices, and more. They have 250 lables to choose from.

With all the available products over at Luggage Point, it may get confusing.  Head over to Luggage Wizard for consumer reviews and comparison search engines to help you find the best luggage for your business travel needs.

I have become quite the fan of the Swiss Army brand (Victorionox and Wenger) luggage over the past year. I had an older Samsonite that busted on me after a few years and another one (can't remember brand...American Touristor or something) bust on me in less than a year...nothing worse than seeing half of your clothes hanging out the side of your broken luggage as it comes out of baggage claim.....

The Swiss Army ones are well built, sturdy, with good solid wheels, and some nice features like a garment bag on the underside of the top cover and even a lining that you can zip open to put in your dirty laundry and then close up tight so the few clean clothes stay clean.

Oh yeah, and their laptop backpacks are awesome too. (^_^)

I just went out and bought a new carry on bag to replace my old one.

My old bag was a brand called Jaguar, which, apparently, doesn't even have a website! I bought it for less than $100 back in 1997, and it has been beat up and kicked around and served me well for 9 years.

My new bag was an Eddie Bauer that I got on sale for $60 (Canadian). I haven't used it yet, but it looks like it'll carry stuff, which is all I really want from a bag.

I can't figure out why anyone would want to spend the kind of money on those really expensive bags. Maybe other people are just rougher on their bags then I am!
