Don't get me wrong, though. I do believe that some of these changes are necessary in order to protect us all from further terrorist attempts but there is no denying the fact that these changes could be troublesome.
One fine example is the re-introduction of Luggage-less Travel by The Ritz Carlton, San Francisco...
For Ritz-Carlton guests staying three or more times at the hotel, the concierge will arrange for laundering and storing clothing until the next visit. At that time, the wardrobe and any personal grooming items will be placed in the guest's room prior to check-in. "We believe this is a service many of our frequent guests will appreciate," said Edward Mady, general manager. The only fee for this service is for hotel laundry/valet charges."
Now, that is service!

You don't need to be staying at the Ritz to get this kind of service. If travelling for multiple weeks to the same location, and flying home for the weekends in between, I often leave a bag with my clothes and toiletries in it at the hotel. I've never experienced a problem leaving a bag for the weekend at any hotel (though I have had to pay a nominal fee at some hotels).
I would also suggest that, you can drop off your dry cleaning on Friday, and pick it up the next Monday at any dry cleaner between the airport and the office.
