However, as reported by Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan of Career Journal, those get-ups you see are causing conflicts in several offices in the USA. It has led some people in management to re-define the term Business Casual.
When travelling for business on a weather like this, I still would opt to wear conservative suits. The only difference would be the colour (no to dark!) and the cloth. I would have to say NO to skin exposure even if it is sweltering hot outside.
What about you? Do YOU have different standards of how Business Casual should look whenever you are in the office and whenever you are away on business?
I wonder what Noelle of ImageAide would say.

Business casual is classic rather than trendy. This means dressing professionally, looking crispy and most important being neat. I do not believe that jeans and linen clothes are belong with this category. The colors must be white, blue, black or beige.
