For the past few days, we have been bombarded with news of the ongoing strikes in Lebanon. And whilst the world had their eyes on this, something new came up which made the media crazy.
Mel Gibson was arrested and has now been charged for misdemeanor drunken driving, "as well as driving with an elevated blood alcohol level and an open container of alcohol in his car".
Let this be a lesson to all of us who will, at any point, find ourselves behind the wheel.
We may not be as famous as Mr. Gibson and a DUI charge would definitely not put us on the front page of CNN but it would be costly (money and/or prison), should we find ourselves in the same position.
So you have to drive during your business travels. Do follow the rules by having the correct requirements (international driver's license, if needed) and by adhering to the speed and alcohol limits (which could vary from country to country or state to state).
Should you close a very important deal and want to celebrate (and we all know that celebrating almost always include alcohol consumption) with your partners, do leave the rent-a-car at your hotel garage and take a taxi instead.
