And then, the news was forgotten. At least, I forgot.
Now, we have flights banning laptops as carry-ons. A problem for people like me who have problems with checking-in my laptop; not to mention the time wasted which could have been used productively while onboard (granted, of course, that you or I would be flying anytime soon).
Well, strike three for laptops because laptop fires have caught the eyes of airline safety regulators. With the May15 incident wherein a laptop "caught fire in an overhead luggage compartment as a Lufthansa airliner prepared to leave Chicago's O'Hare International Airport" standing out. The temporary ban of laptop as carry-ons in the UK may just be the beginning of the end.
