In doing business with Asians, you need to keep in mind that it is important to have Business Cards.
It would even impress your Asian counterparts more if you can give them double-sided business cards in, say, Japanese and English. This little effort would show them that you are serious and that you have taken the trouble to know about their culture.
No, you need not learn Chinese, Japanese, Korean or any other Asian language. There are companies out there which offers localized busines cards. Companies like Luna Concepts can help you show your foreign counterparts that you do mean business.
thanks to John J for the hat tip

i agree with this 100%. When we first started doing business in Japan, I got our execs to get reversable English/Japanese business cards and we had to get actual nice buisness card holders for them.
I then had to teach them business card etiquette and such. But in the end, it made us look professional AND they appreciated our efforts as well.
Oh, and bring more than you think you will need. Trust me. You will go through them like you wouldn't believe.
The trick is...with 100's of business cards that I have collected now...I have no idea how everyone keeps track of who is who....let alone what I'm supposed to do with them!
