Despite the head-butting incident which resulted in a red card, Zidane's exit was still made bright when he cinched the Golden Shoe Award. Apparently, he lost his temper when Materrazi made racial slurs during the Finals game. Apparently. We can only speculate unless Materrazi and Zidane do say something about it.
Racial slur. Just like what (apparently) happened during the Finals game, racial slurs are happening in the workplace today. And when we travel to different countries, it is not strange for us to encounter racism, too. It's 2006 and the world is still, sadly, NOT color blind.
Hence, before you head out to another country for an important business deal, do not always assume that what works in your own country will work elsewhere, too. Do your homework. And try to read what I will be featuring over at Busineses Culture Abroad.
