The excitement of the World Cup is over. The streets may seem emptier but flags still adorn several houses and vehicles. As for work... well, work didn't really stop during the World Cup 2006 month but many surely had their eyes and heart at the games even as they sat in front of their computers, trying to get work done.
I should know, I was one of those employees, whilst I worked from my office in Frankfurt.
Good news for those who need to consult with a German or Germany-based client or colleague... make that phone call, write that email or schedule that business trip now because everyone is back at work!
