With the technology of today, gone are the days when we have to call a travel agent in order to get the best price possible for our chosen destination/trip. And, back then, we had to take our agent's word that she was indeed giving us the best price there was.
Nowadays, all we need is to go online and voilá, we can take our pick. However, with all the sites offering the "best deal", looking for a deal could get tedious.
Rather than google searching for the "cheap flight" + "destination", we can try to make it easier by using big sites like expedia, opodo, etc. Or, we can try out flight consolidators, aggregators and whatever else -tors may come up with one day.
For Business-Class travellers, we are also given the option of business-class only flights which are cheaper than the standard flights. The routes offered are, however, somewhat limited.
And then, there are agencies which specializes in discounted upper-class seats. Agencies like AccessFares which offers 60% off on published airline fares.
But before you make that purchase, shop around and look for the best offer. Oh yea, do not forget to read the fine print. Frequent fliers should also consider the conditions and mileage benefits for the offer that you are eyeing. Paying a few more dollars for one deal may be better if you get mileage for it.
