Inspired by the concept of having butlers, some hotels are offering the services of their staff to make life easier for business travellers. These employees or personal concierges, as they may be called, are trained to do secretarial and clerical duties.
And then, there are hotels which offer a different kind of butler service. In keeping up with the high-technology of our times, these hotels have Cyber Butlers.
Even if the majority of business travellers do travel with their laptops and do know how to use them, a lot are still not tech-savvy enough to be able to solve all communication and technology-related problems. And that is where a Cyber Butler would definitely be needed. They are there to help you configure your laptop's compatibility with the in-house internet connection, lend you an adapter and any other problems cyber problems which you may face during your travels.
To date, Ritz-Carlton and Inter-Continental Hotels are offering the services of Cyber Butlers.
Let's hope that more hotels would follow suit.
