If you live alone and are constantly away on business, keeping your house secure while you are away is more challenging. You may have to invest in one of those pricey home security gadgets.
Or... you could just "trick" would-be burglars by making sure that your home does not look deserted.

In any case, it always is best to double check your locks. Add to that, the electrical appliances that you have. Your house may be secured but you also wouldn't want to risk a fire during your absence.
