
While the focus of other airports is to upgrade the quality of their restrooms, the Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport in Finland has something greater up their sleeve to improve customer service and airport operations.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology will be used to streamline ground operations by giving ground staff with RFID-enabled Nokia phones and installing RFID tags at key work locations. This should help them better monitor and manage the task of each ground staff, should changes be necessary (in the case of flight delays, etc).
