Following the footsteps of Southwest Airlines' recent blog entry on Funny Stuff, I am posting the funniest thing I have heard from a pilot. This is from a flight I took from Manila to Taiwan a couple of years ago.
"Welcome Aboard Flight ### of China Airlines. Your pilots for today are Mr. Lai (lie) and Mr. Dai (die)."
I swear, the whole plane started laughing. Although, most are nervous laughs. Thank God, we all got to our destination safe.
What about you? Do you know of any funny stuff they have said onboard?

Nothing onboard like that but I had a "funny" message come over the intercom while waiting for a delayed flight...
A few years ago, my America West flight was delayed out of Cleveland. Apparently the engine was "red-lining" on the flight back from Pheonix so they wanted to fix it... And I was happy to hear that.
But after 3 hours, the flight attendant went on the intercom and said, "We are sorry for the delay but I just heard that they have finished fixing the problem. We will be on our way once they put the engine back together..."
Then a loooong pause...
"Um...I mean...once we get clearance from the engineers....thank you..."
It made me relieved AND worried both at the same time..... (>_
