"Some stores can give you tax-free shopping checks or VAT refund form which you could present to customs (at the airport) before you leave the country. You can get the refund there or you can mail your form to the refund center when you get home and they will credit the funds to the credit card account you specified."
Do keep that in mind. More so when you have a trip planned to Germany in 2007.
Why? Because it could mean a lot of money saved.
Why? Because from 2007, VAT will be increased from 16% to 19%.
Although, 19% is nothing compared to the 25% that Hungary, Sweden, Norway and Denmark are charging.
