I felt like I was on top of the world. My flight was relatively uneventful. The presentation review was a major success. I said my goodbyes for the day and checked into my hotel. Nothing wrong there, either. It all seemed okay. Up until I took a shower.
The shower temperature was uncontrollable. I was either being doused by cold water or it felt like I was being boiled alive.
Alternately cold and hot, I finally finished my shower. Only to be greeted by an uncontrollable air-condition. No amount of adjustment seem to result in giving the room a comfortable temperature.
BUT (!) since I had a good day, I could laugh about all that.
BUT (!) what about those days when everything seems to have gone wrong? To be faced with an uncontrollable shower and/or aircondition could really be frustrating.
No biggie, actually. Just citing a couple of things which I hate about staying in hotels.

Melissa, I can feel that hot and cold and those of us who travel a lot are there with you... Makes home sweet home that much homier. I am off again soon overseas for two weeks -- I hope the shower works but if not I was reminded to laugh...with you and go for the good day anyway:-)
