From 09 June until 09 July, it would be best if you avoid visiting Germany for business. Unless, of course, you are a football fan yourself.
During this period, all 12 locations (Hamburg, Hannover, Berlin, Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund, Leipzig, Cologne, Frankfurt, Kaiserslautern, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart; plus a few more citiies near the vicinity of these venues) will be full of visitors. Not to mention the shortage and/or increase in price (due to demand) for accommodations in these areas.
Besides, if and when you do visit your clients in Germany during the World Cup season, chances are, they might not even be there. A lot of the employers are actually expecting a lot of people to call in sick during this season.

I just got back from this destination and I had a great time. I thought it was going to be expensive for me and my family but I found the deal of a lifetime on journeypass.com. Check it out when you have a chance.
