Aer Lingus says goodbye to OneWorld Alliance

Soon after oneworld has announced its biggest expansion coup with the recruitment of Japan Airlines, Malev Hungarian and Royal Jordanian, Aer Lingus has confirmed its intention to leave the alliance. 

+3 and then, -1

The Irish state-owned Aer Lingus changed its business setup and is now selling itself as a low-budget airline. Hence, the withdrawal from the global alliance of oneworld.

Note that present members of the oneworld alliance includes American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Lan and Qantas.
