When it comes to meetings and presentations, what matters most is what is inside your brain, what you have prepared and what you are offering. Clothes won't make the man. But, it sure does help if one's professional appearance is appropriate and pleasing to the eye.
When travelling, it is always best not to look like you just got out of the suitcase. There are ways around a wrinkle problem, you know.
- If you do not have a travel iron, you can always use the hotel's pressing services.
- If you have the time, steam the bathroom and hang your wrinkled clothes inside.
- Buy and bring Wrinkle Away.
- The best solution (prevention, actually) would be to buy a couple of wrinkle free shirts. Brooks Brothers are famous for those. Nordstrom and the like do have wrinkle-free brands, as well.
Now that you have wrinkle free clothes, do make sure that everything else - shined shoes, short and clean fingernails, combed hair, brushed teeth - matches your crisp, clean look.
Obviously, I am just talking about men. Women deserve an even longer post. Soon!

The bathroom steaming thing just doesn't seem to work too well for me...
I've tried a similar product to Wrinkle Away by Downy (I think) and that worked pretty good but it made the shirt feel super duper starched and kinda itchy...
In Japan at least, most business hotels may not have an iron but they may have pants presses. Those work pretty good for shirts too as long as you are patient and careful. Travel irons can be added weight...
Blah. I guess I'll just pay more for wrinkle free stuff.
For women, I've heard someone tell me that "rolling" helps in packing without wrinkles.....I can't imagine it's that effective though. Interested to see what your post for women will say.....
