Lothar was asked to extend his business trip at the last minute. And since the decision was made late in the day, he was was left with no other choice but to wear the same shirt the next day.
Getting the crease out is no problem since steaming up the bathroom takes care of the big ones. His problem was that the inside of his light-colored shirt collar was stained gray because he sweats profusely.
What to do?
Google came up with the following solutions:
“have had a lot of luck with just plain white hand soap”
"Vinegar works great in the laundry to remove the yellow ring-around-the-collar and yellow spots in the underarm areas of clothing.”“For ring around collar use shampoo straight from bottle on collar. Rub gently before washing.”
My advice?
Always bring a spare. One shirt should do it. If you need to extend for more than a day, 1 shirt will be enough to tide you over until the hotel delivers your express laundry request for the next day. If you need to extend even longer than that, take Greg Wesson’s advice.
