Airlines are not only refurbishing to make travel more luxurious, they have also been upgrading the dining options on-board. Part of their continous aim to give pasha-like treatment to First and Business class passengers.
Premium service really counts. Good to know that a lot of the airlines have been following that trend. And Japan Airlines is one of those.
Come the first of May, Japan Airlines will be expanding its already popular “Free Style Dining” service in JAL Executive Class –Seasons on the carrier’s twice-daily Chicago – Tokyo service, and flights JL005/006 operating daily between New York and Tokyo.
What exactly does Free Style Dining mean?
Basically, this means that passengers do not need to stop working or to wake up whenever the food is scheduled to be given out. With Free Style Dining, travellers are given the option to take their second mean anytime after the first meal and 90 minutes before the scheduled arrival time at destination.
"The transpacific 'Free Style Dining' menu will offer 10 dishes including a pasta dish, soup, sandwiches and an assortment of Japanese dishes including beef curry Japanese style, Chinese Ramen' noodles, Japanese Udon' noodles in soup, and braised beef and mushrooms on rice."
Passengers are given a choice of Japanese or Western full-course meals. In addition, a wide selection of wine lists (selected by Japan’s leading wine journalist) and quality sake will also be offered.
I can't wait what they will think of next to make travelling more comfortable for all of us.
