I have been rushing from airport to hotel to meetings to airport for the past 4 days. Evenings are spent preparing for the next consultation meeting in the next city.
There is no jetlag to consider, since I am just travelling within the European Union. Thank God. Despite the fact that my flights are only for an hour or two, it still is pretty tiring. Especially if you have to consider travelling and presenting to 3 cities within 4 days.
It wouldn't be so tiring had I been prepared. Instead, I spent my nights preparing/studying. Even my "quiet" time at breakfast and while getting ready in the morning was spent studying figures.
I swear, the next time I am surprised with a series of last-minute business trips, I will say NO. Why?!
Because one should never go to meetings/consultations unprepared. More so, if both parties do not seem to have agendas prepared! It's a waste of time and makes a bad impression.
Maybe my reason for cancelling a business trip could definitely be added to Christopher Elliot's list.
