Personally, one of my "musts" in hotel rooms is to have in-room high-speed access; preferably WiFi. Thank God, this isn't difficult to find as hotel amenities have improved a lot for the past years.
Laptop-toting travellers can now be more productive even at odd hours in the confines of one's own room. Gone are the days when one had to constantly go up to the lounge or down to the business center just to use the fax, printer, computer and/or have internet access.
Despite the fact that a lot of hotels have wireless internet, one still cannot assume that this service is offered everywhere.
