
Some road gladiators have to constantly find creative ways to stretch that budget. Not all business travellers have big companies -- with equally big budgets -- behind them.
It is (easily, imho) done by maximizing the mileage accrued, using it to your company’s advantage rather than for your personal needs. Others (even big companies) have been asking people to travel coach rather business class. There are even those who’d rather that alternative ways of transport are used – be it via bus, the longer but cheaper route, budget airlines, etc.
