Life on the road isn’t easy but improvements in the lodging facilities sure is making life for extended business travelers a lot easier... and homier. And with the competition nowadays, it seems like the improvement in facilities is even getting better and better.
Extended Stay Hotels’ facilities vary. From the standard hotel facilities with internet access, tv, mini-bar to fitness centers, swimming pools, kitchens. Add to that the number of services (concierge, etc.) that are being offered to lure guests into staying.
And then, there are those who have thought of other ways to attract business travelers...

Hilton-owned Homewood Suites “let guests fill out shopping lists online before arrival so they’d find their room fully stocked with food and drink. The service is particularly popular with guests on a long-term business assignment who fly in family for weekend visits and might not have time to shop.”
...whereas Oakwood, the world’s largest corporate apartment operator, is replacing polyester bedspreads for cotton bedding. That’s $15 million worth of bedding upgrade.
That alone is a clear indication of how stiff competition is. All the more better for us. All you have to do now is to bring some family pictures to make it look homier. And have your family come down for the weekend to keep you company as you discover what your temporary “home” has to offer. Now, what would YOU want in your hotel room that they have yet to offer?
